The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several parts of Pakistan on Eid-ul-Fitr, which will be celebrated tomorrow.
Officials say a weather system bringing rain-bearing winds is currently active across the country.
Met Department Director Irfan Virk confirmed that rain-bearing winds are still present in the country. Speaking to Samaa TV, he said this system is likely to influence weather conditions on Eid day.
According to the forecast, Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to experience cloudy weather on Eid. There is also a possibility of light rain in the twin cities during the day.
Rain forecast for multiple regions
The Met Office has predicted light rain in several other parts of the country as well. These include some areas of Balochistan, South Punjab and Sindh, where scattered showers may occur.

Rain is also expected in some areas of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding to the widespread nature of the weather system. Officials noted that the intensity is likely to remain light in most regions.
Possibility of widespread cloud cover
In addition to rainfall, there is also a chance of complete cloud cover in some parts of the country. This could lead to relatively cooler weather conditions during Eid celebrations.
