More than 500 Pakistani pilgrims have been stranded in Karbala owing to the closure of Iraqi airspace following the Iran-Israel conflict.
According to details, the pilgrims include women, children and elderly persons. The group has run out of funds and faces a shortage of essential items and medicines. The absence of medicines has worsened the condition of several ailing elderly pilgrims.
The pilgrims, who had travelled to Iraq for religious visitation, have remained stranded since the 9th of Ramadan.
