Renowned Hollywood actor and martial artist Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, according to international media reports. Tributes have begun pouring in from around the world following news of his passing.
His daughter, Danilee Norris, said that while he appeared to be a warrior, his heart was full of love.
Fellow American actor Sylvester Stallone described him as “a true American in every sense.”
Chuck Norris rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s through his action films. He gained widespread recognition after starring alongside Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon, which featured their iconic fight scene.
In the 1980s, his film Missing in Action, set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, became highly popular and reflected themes of American patriotism.
His family confirmed his death in a statement shared on Instagram.
“With a heavy heart, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris,” the statement read. “He lived his life with purpose and unwavering dedication to his loved ones.”
