Lahore Qalandars Haris Rauf expressed his thoughts over the change of the ball colour from white to pink during the first match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.
Expressing his thoughts, Rauf said the reason for the change of colour could not be confirmed. The ball might have changed colour after hitting a chair or by rubbing against the pitch.
He added that he had checked the bails when they did not fall, but such things happen occasionally. The wicket was not in his favour, and he intends to bowl faster in future matches to take more wickets.
Rauf said he treats every match as an opportunity. He acknowledged that performances are not always as the public expects. "Taking wickets at the end of an innings is the most difficult task," the fast bowler added.
He added that taking wickets during middle overs and death overs is particularly challenging.
He also mentioned that the team has suffered runs even after taking wickets. Rauf said he is trying to perform well in the PSL so that selectors notice him, whether or not he plays for the team.
"Lahore Qalandars are having an excellent bowling line-up, with good spinners and bench strength. They could be given an opportunity at any time," Rauf said.
