Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Faisal Kamran said hat the security plan includes quick response teams, route duties, safe transit of teams to hotels, and strict protective measures during all movements of players and teams in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He stated that additional cameras have been installed along the match routes under the Safe City project to strengthen surveillance. Kamran said that no vehicle is allowed near the stadium without complete checking, and a proper procedure has been set for the entry of authorised vehicles.
Kamran added that artificial intelligence is being used to monitor security matters.
He said that the first priority of security personnel is to perform their duty, and watching PSL matches comes later.
