Russia has strongly condemned attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations and said the international community must oppose such actions.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, including the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, are highly dangerous and raise the risk of large-scale radiation.
She said the attacking countries are intensifying the ongoing conflict in the Middle East while disregarding its serious consequences. On March 27, Iran’s Khondab Heavy Water Complex and Ardakan Uranium Plant were targeted, followed by reports of further strikes near Bushehr.
Zakharova said such actions amount to a clear violation of international law and those responsible must understand the consequences. She urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to adopt a clear and unequivocal position on the dangerous situation.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, the attacks violate not only the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty but also global safety principles. She called on the attacking countries to halt this destructive policy at once to prevent further loss of life and a possible global crisis.
