Iran has claimed it carried out coordinated missile and drone strikes on two US military “hideouts” in Dubai, escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Iran on Saturday said it targeted two US military locations in Dubai where more than 500 American soldiers were reportedly present.
According to Iranian state media, the strikes were carried out after US personnel allegedly moved to these “hideouts” following earlier attacks on their bases in the region.
An Iranian military spokesperson stated that around 400 US soldiers were stationed at one location in Dubai, while more than 100 troops were present at a second site.
The spokesperson claimed both locations were identified and struck using precision-guided missiles and drones in a coordinated operation.
Heavy casualties claimed by Iran
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), through its Aerospace Force and Navy, allegedly carried out the attacks.
The spokesperson claimed the strikes resulted in “very heavy casualties,” adding that ambulances continued evacuating the dead and wounded for several hours.

Warning issued to US
In a strongly worded statement, the spokesperson for the Central Headquarters of Hazrat Khatam al-Anbiya warned US leadership of further consequences.
He said President Donald Trump and US military commanders must understand that the region could become a “graveyard” for American soldiers if the conflict continues.
Iran claimed that US forces had retreated from their bases and taken shelter in these locations due to ongoing strikes by Iranian forces across the region.

The latest claims mark another escalation in the ongoing conflict in West Asia, with both sides increasing military pressure.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Pentagon is preparing to deploy troops from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East. According to US media, the deployment may include command units and ground forces to strengthen Washington’s position in the region.
Kharg Island emerges as strategic flashpoint
A potential US ground operation targeting Iran’s Kharg Island is also under consideration. The island is critical for Iran, handling approximately 90% of its crude oil exports, making it a key strategic objective.
Reports suggest Iran has begun laying anti-personnel and anti-armour mines around Kharg Island. Additional forces have also been deployed to the area, with concerns that US troops could attempt an amphibious landing.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering seizing Kharg Island to pressure Iran into reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The waterway is vital for global energy supplies, and its closure has heightened tensions worldwide.
Rising military threats
The situation reflects a rapidly escalating confrontation, with both sides preparing for possible broader conflict scenarios. Iran’s warnings, US troop deployments, and strategic positioning around key energy routes highlight the growing risk of a prolonged regional crisis.
