Suparco has initiated the Space4Climate Initiative to tackle the effects of climate change.
According to ISPR, the project aims to address climate change impacts through space technologies. Under this initiative, a global observational centre has been established using Geo AI, which includes an integrated digital platform, satellite data, and geospatial analytics facilities.
The statement added that the Space4Climate Initiative allows policymakers and researchers to make improved observations. The platform monitors environmental pollution, greenhouse gases, and forests. It also observes glaciers, coastal changes, river systems, and land use.
ISPR stated that the Geo AI platform will provide policymakers with data based on solid evidence. Through this project, public protection can be ensured using space technology.
