The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a weather alert forecasting rain and snowfall across multiple regions of the country over the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to the advisory, Islamabad, Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms, with the possibility of hailstorms in some areas.
Rainfall is also predicted in northern and mountainous regions, including Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Astore, Diamer, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Rawalakot, and Neelum Valley.
The NDMA has warned that strong winds, lightning, and hailstorms could damage vulnerable structures, trees, and electricity lines.
It further cautioned that rainfall may cause slippery road conditions, potentially disrupting traffic flow in urban areas. In mountainous regions, snowfall could lead to road blockages and travel delays.
Authorities have advised commuters and travelers to exercise caution, particularly in hilly areas, where weather conditions may significantly impact mobility.
