Franchise owners of the Pakistan Super League have urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to permit the return of spectators to stadiums during the ongoing 11th edition of the tournament.
Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal, in a message posted on X, said it was distressing to witness empty grounds despite being associated with the league since its inception. He appealed to the prime minister to allow supporters back, stating that the competition depended upon public enthusiasm and expressing hope that venues would soon return to full capacity.

Hyderabad Kingsmen owner Fawad Sarwar also voiced concern over the absence of crowds. He said that the energy of supporters had been greatly missed during his side’s opening fixture. Emphasising the role of spectators in bringing passion to the game, he requested that fans be readmitted so that the atmosphere of the contest might be restored.

Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi has termed the league as an integral part of life for millions across the country and a source of national unity. He noted that without spectators, the spirit of the competition appeared diminished. He appealed to the prime minister to permit crowds, stating that their presence was vital for the continuation of the national celebration both in spirit and in the stands.
