A fresh Iranian missile attack has killed one person and injured several others in central Israel, marking a sharp escalation in ongoing hostilities. The strike involved a cluster bomb warhead, spreading damage across multiple locations.
One man in his 60s was killed after Iran launched a ballistic missile carrying a cluster bomb warhead toward central Israel.
According to emergency responders, the missile dispersed bomblets over a wide area, causing multiple impact sites and casualties.
Magen David Adom confirmed that the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite emergency medical treatment. At least two other people were lightly injured at another location, while additional injuries were reported in separate incidents across the region.
Attack spreads across multiple cities
The missile barrage struck several areas in central Israel, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, and Petah Tikva. Authorities reported at least 11 different impact sites, with one building sustaining damage after being hit.
Emergency teams arriving at the scene found the victim lying unconscious with severe injuries caused by shrapnel. Officials later confirmed that the man was not inside a shelter at the time of the strike, increasing his exposure to the impact.

Paramedics treated two men in their 50s who suffered blast injuries and facial trauma while heading to a shelter. They were shifted in stable condition to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and Wolfson Hospital in Holon.
In southern Israel, two more people — a 37-year-old man and a woman around 20 — were injured by shrapnel and taken to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva.
Sirens, interceptions, and debris impact
The missile barrage, launched around 11:45pm, triggered sirens across central Israel, Jerusalem, and Ashdod. While some missiles were intercepted, debris from the interceptions fell in several areas, contributing to injuries and damage.
An earlier barrage targeting southern Israel was also intercepted, though debris caused minor injuries.

An explosion was reported over Damascus, which Syrian authorities said was caused by Israeli interception of an Iranian missile. A projectile also landed in an open area near Jerusalem, sparking a fire.
Emergency response and rescue
Israeli Home Front Command teams were deployed across multiple sites to conduct search-and-rescue operations. Senior officials, including Major General Shai Klapper, visited impact zones to assess the situation and coordinate emergency efforts.
Authorities later allowed residents to leave protected shelters after assessing the immediate threat.
This attack marks one of the most intense missile barrages in recent days, following hours of relative calm. The use of cluster munitions and the spread of impact sites highlight the growing intensity and complexity of the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
