Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has responded forcefully to the continuous harsh statements from Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. In an interview with a private radio channel, Governor Kundi expressed his views on the ongoing tensions.
Governor Kundi highlighted serious allegations against CM Gandapur, including his alleged involvement in the murder of a provincial minister and a political figure in Dera Ismail Khan.
He questioned Gandapur's credibility, stating, "What can you expect from such a Chief Minister, but still, it is a pleasure to hear his statements."
Addressing Gandapur's recent comments, Governor Kundi suggested that the Chief Minister's frequent criticisms indicate a deeper issue. "Such statements show that he is feeling something, so let him talk like that," Kundi remarked.
In a pointed response, Governor Kundi referenced Gandapur's talk of "switching on and off" buttons. "I have such a button when I turn it off, it won't turn on," he said, hinting at undisclosed actions he might take in the future.
Kundi also advised Gandapur to seek medical help for his alleged depression rather than fearing the Governor. Emphasizing his commitment to democratic principles, Kundi stated, "I belong to a party that believes in democracy."
The Governor accused Gandapur and his allies of attempting to become "political martyrs" by portraying themselves as victims. "They are actually political orphans, and now they want to become political martyrs. I will thwart their attempt," Kundi asserted.
