Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Muslims across the country on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr.
In his message, he stated that Eid ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of the sacred month of Ramazan, which for centuries has conveyed a message of high moral standards, compassion, and empathy for Muslims.
President Putin remarked that Russia’s Muslims preserve the historical and spiritual traditions of their ancestors with great reverence and celebrate this joyous occasion fully with their families and communities.
He added that during Ramazan, holding charitable, cultural, educational, and child-focused activities has become a cherished tradition.
He praised the role of Muslim organisations, adding that they play an important part in strengthening family systems, educating the younger generation, and promoting social harmony.
Furthermore, he said these organisations participate in constructive dialogue with government and social institutions and actively engage in patriotic, educational, and humanitarian projects.
The Russian President expressed special thanks to Muslims who serve the nation’s freedom and sovereignty alongside their colleagues and also commended those assisting the families of such personnel.
