The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 for Computer Science and Information Systems has been released, presenting a list of the world’s leading universities, with the University of the Punjab placed in the 351-400 band in this field.
According to the rankings, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has once again been ranked as the world’s number one university in computer science this year. American universities continue to dominate the list, with Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University also holding prominent positions within the top 10.
Outside the United States, the National University of Singapore and the University of Oxford jointly secured fourth place for their performance in computer science.
Experts said that these rankings provide important guidance to students worldwide in selecting higher education institutions.
