Apple has released the iOS 26.4 update for iPhone users, along with corresponding updates for iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, watchOS, and tvOS.
The update introduces eight new emojis, including a distorted face, ballet dancer in multiple skin tones, treasure chest, Sasquatch-like creature, orca, trombone, landslide, and a cartoon-style fight cloud.
In addition to the emojis, iOS 26.4 brings several improvements to Apple Music. The new Playlist Playground feature allows users to create playlists based on a description, while the Concerts feature alerts users to nearby shows and recommends new artists. Users can also identify songs offline with Shazam, and enjoy new immersive backgrounds and Home Screen widgets for Apple Music.
Other updates include accessibility improvements, such as reduced motion and brightness effects, enhanced subtitles, and the ability for adults in Family Sharing to use their own payment methods. The Reminders app now lets users mark tasks as urgent, and the Freeform app has added image editing tools and a premium content library.
Apple says these updates are designed to enhance both creativity and usability, offering a more personalized and interactive experience across its devices.
