akistan’s efforts to mediate peace in the Middle East have received international recognition, with both Iran and the United States expressing confidence in the country’s stance, said Prime Minister’s Adviser and Senator Rana Sanaullah during an interview on the Samaa News program Red Line.
He stated that Pakistan’s political and military leadership has played a commendable role and emphasized that the country is not acting alone in pursuing a ceasefire. China is also involved, and support from Turkey and Saudi Arabia has been secured to facilitate peace efforts.
Rana Sanaullah highlighted that all possible measures should be taken to ensure a ceasefire, with other nations using their influence alongside Pakistan. He said Islamabad is working to prevent a direct confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, maintaining open and honest communication with both countries.
He further noted that Pakistan has a defensive agreement with Saudi Arabia to safeguard its territory, underscoring the country’s commitment to regional stability.
This statement positions Pakistan as a key mediator in the ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Gulf region while balancing its strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders.
