Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman, the matters of mutual interest and regional challenges were considered, with both sides engaging in comprehensive consultations on the evolving regional situation. Talks between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia centred on close coordination.
The statement added that the visit reflects a joint commitment to enhance cooperation in responding to changing regional developments.
Earlier, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived at the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, where Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar received him.
It is notable that, in connection with efforts to end the Iran war, a significant meeting of foreign ministers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt is scheduled in Islamabad today. During this crucial session, chaired by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, proposals to reduce regional tensions are expected to be finalised.
Pakistan’s leadership role has received support from the superpower, the United States, while Arab and other Gulf states, as well as global powers including China, Russia, France, and the United Kingdom, have also welcomed efforts to end the conflict swiftly. Visiting foreign ministers from Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia will also meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
