The mother of renowned Indian actor Prakash Raj has passed away at the age of 86, Indian media reported.
Swaranlatha breathed her last at her residence in Bengaluru on Sunday, March 29, 2026. She had been facing health issues for some time, although the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed. Her last rites are scheduled to be held on Monday.
The actor is said to be deeply saddened by the loss, while members of the film industry have expressed condolences. Prominent actor Pawan Kalyan also shared his grief, extending heartfelt sympathies to Prakash Raj and his family.
