The latest travel trends reveal a striking shift in the movement of Pakistanis to Gulf countries, with the UAE and Qatar witnessing extraordinary increases, while Saudi Arabia sees a sharp decline in arrivals.
Data from sources indicates a massive 1500% increase in Pakistanis traveling to the UAE over the last three months.
- In March 2026, 9,533 Pakistanis traveled to the UAE, compared to just 2,271 during the same month last year, marking a 320% jump.
- February recorded 14,035 travelers, a 692% increase from the previous year.
- January saw 505% growth, reflecting a consistent surge since the start of 2026.
Analysts attribute this rise to a combination of economic opportunities, relaxation of travel policies, and ongoing tensions in the region, prompting Pakistanis to consider alternative Gulf destinations.
Qatar and Kuwait also attract more travelers
Qatar experienced a 110% increase, with 17,687 Pakistanis traveling there during the period. Though a slight decrease occurred in March, the overall trend remains upward.
Meanwhile, Kuwait recorded smaller but noticeable growth, with 184 Pakistanis traveling in the past three months.
Saudi Arabia sees sharp decline
Unlike its Gulf neighbors, Saudi Arabia experienced a significant drop in arrivals, with a 57% decrease in Pakistanis traveling there.
- More than 57,500 Pakistanis visited Saudi Arabia in the first quarter of 2026.
- In March alone, 23,366 traveled, reflecting the overall downward trend.
The decline may be influenced by regional tensions, stricter entry regulations, or shifts in employment and pilgrimage patterns.
