Several United Arab Emirates-based airlines have announced that Iranian nationals are currently not permitted to enter or transit the country, citing ongoing regional tensions.
Dubai-based carrier Emirates updated its website on Wednesday, stating that Iranian nationals cannot enter or transit the UAE at this time.
Similarly, Etihad Airways and low-cost airline Flydubai confirmed the restrictions on their websites.
However, Flydubai noted that Iranian nationals holding a UAE Golden Visa remain exempt and are allowed to enter or transit the country.
The restrictions come amid escalating regional conflicts affecting travel and security policies in the Gulf. Airlines have moved quickly to update passengers on the limitations, emphasizing compliance with UAE government directives.
The ban currently affects entry and transit, potentially impacting business, tourism, and travel plans for Iranian citizens.
