Earlier on Monday, Nawaz's brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, extended his congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his re-election and swearing-in ceremony.
Narendra Modi was sworn in as the prime minister of India for the third consecutive term on Sunday, equalling the record set by Jawaharlal Nehru. However, this time, Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to secure a simple majority, necessitating the formation of a coalition government with support from other parties.
Indian President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Modi during an official ceremony held at the President's House. The event was attended by newly elected members of the assembly and various distinguished guests.
The swearing-in ceremony also saw the presence of heads of state from neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius.
