A man walking along a Scottish beach has discovered a message in a bottle that was thrown into the water from Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Mike Scott said he was walking his dogs about two weeks ago along the shallow waters of St Cyrus beach in Aberdeen when one of his dogs spotted a bottle.
Inside the bottle was a letter sealed in a plastic pouch to protect it from water damage. The letter, written in French in August 2024, stated that the bottle had been sent from Prince Edward Island to the Îles de la Madeleine in Quebec.
The letter was authored by Annie Chaisen, who requested that whoever finds the message contact her via Facebook.
The remarkable journey of the bottle highlights the unpredictable paths ocean currents can carry messages across continents, connecting people thousands of miles apart.
