Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar continued on Wednesday his diplomatic engagements, holding discussions with the European Union (EU) vice president and the Malaysian foreign minister on the regional and global situation.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the foreign minister spoke by telephone with European Union Vice President Kaja Kallas, during which developments in the regional and international landscape were discussed.
Dar stressed the need for de-escalation and dialogue amid rising global tensions, adding that peace and stability remain possible through diplomacy. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact.
The deputy prime minister also held a telephone conversation with the Malaysian foreign minister, where recent regional and international developments were discussed. Both sides emphasised the importance of de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy in addressing emerging challenges.
