Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi announced that protests in line with the constitution may be organized to demand the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Afridi said PTI, in coordination with other opposition parties, is finalizing its future course of action. He indicated that decisions are forthcoming, some of which could be “strict or firm.”
Afridi emphasized that any protest would strictly follow constitutional provisions and that party workers are fully prepared. “The leadership empowered to make decisions will take the call, and we will fully support it,” he stated. “Once the protests begin, their impact will be evident.”
The statement underscores PTI’s growing mobilization and coordination with other opposition forces ahead of potential demonstrations demanding the founder’s release.
