In a significant counterterrorism operation in Surab district, Pakistani security forces successfully foiled a major terrorist attempt, preventing potential loss of life.
According to police sources, eight explosives were recovered from beneath a bridge on the Quetta-Karachi highway. The bombs were stored in drums, with a combined weight exceeding 300 kilograms.
Authorities said armed individuals had planted the explosives during a planned blockade, but timely intervention by the security forces neutralized the threat.
“The swift action prevented a major loss of life and dismantled a significant terrorist plan,” police officials stated, highlighting the importance of vigilance and rapid response in ensuring public safety in the region.
