The cast of Bullah, released this Eid-ul-Fitr, recently appeared on Tabish Hashmi Eid Special, where they shared candid insights about working together on the high-profile production.
During the show, host Tabish Hashmi asked actress Sara Loren if she had any complaints about her co-stars. In response, Loren spoke honestly about her experience working with leading man Shaan Shahid.
“Barey mood mein rehte hain. Sare log dare hote hain unke saath,” she said, suggesting that Shahid’s serious demeanor can make others feel intimidated on set. However, she balanced her remarks with praise, adding that he was also very supportive and kind towards her personally.
Fellow cast member Naima Butt emphasized the importance of teamwork in filmmaking. “Jab team kaam kar rahi hoti hai toh film team ki hoti hai,” she noted, stressing that a film’s success depends on collective effort.
Butt also highlighted the need for inclusivity, urging industry professionals to welcome and support newcomers, whether they come from theater backgrounds or are still learning. She cautioned against allowing insecurity or jealousy to hinder others’ growth.
The conversation took a lighter turn when Hashmi asked director Shoaib Khan about his own complaints. Khan jokingly mentioned Imran Khan, prompting the host to quip humorously about his music career.
Directed by Shoaib Khan, Bullah has made a strong impact at the box office since its Eidul-Fitr release, drawing mixed critical reception but significant audience interest. The film stars Shaan Shahid as a modern-day hero battling corruption, injustice, and a powerful mafia network.
Set in Punjab, the story follows a journey of resilience and justice. As one of the few Punjabi-language films released in recent years, Bullah has generated considerable excitement among fans eager to see regional cinema return to the spotlight.
