Separately, former Pakistan cricketer Asif Ali said he had previously played for the Qalandars wherever the team required his services. Speaking to the media on Wednesday in Lahore, he said every team aspired to win the title.
He said that although he had retired from international cricket, he continued to play the game. Asif Ali added that he had spent eight years with Islamabad United, which had supported him greatly.
Asif has termed the Qalandars as a family, adding that there was no head coach in the side. He said he remained available should the Pakistan team require his services.
It is pertinent to note that Lahore Qalandars will take on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen today (Thursday) in the first match of the 11th edition of the domestic marquee tournament.
