Former United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has rejected President Donald Trump’s claim of regime change in Iran.
According to a foreign news agency, Blinken said no one knew how long the present government in Iran would remain in place. He acknowledged that no uprising had emerged against the existing administration following the death of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
It is pertinent to note that President Trump had stated that Iran’s navy and air force had been destroyed and that its leadership had been eliminated, describing the situation as regime change.
