Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has shared that he grew up in a conservative household where watching films - especially romantic ones - was not allowed during his childhood.
In a recent interview, Aamir Khan revealed that he watches very few films even today. He said he has always been more inclined toward reading and was raised in an environment where strict rules were imposed regarding entertainment.
The actor recalled that during his childhood, he was only allowed to watch old black-and-white films aired on Doordarshan. His parents were particularly strict and did not permit him to watch romantic movies.
He added that on weekends, he would watch classic films featuring legendary actors like Ashok Kumar and Dilip Kumar.
Aamir Khan admitted that even now, he rarely watches films. “I make films, but I don’t watch many,” he said, adding that he is often unaware of new releases or developments in Hollywood, as he prefers to stay within his own world.
