Pakistani actress Resham has responded strongly to recent criticism, claiming that people are jealous of her charitable langar initiative. Her remarks come amid an ongoing public dispute within the entertainment industry.
The controversy began after fellow actress Deedar allegedly accused Resham of harming others’ lives.
Without directly naming anyone, Resham dismissed the criticism during a recent TV appearance, saying such remarks stem from jealousy rather than truth.
‘Jealous of my langar,’ says actress
Addressing the issue, Resham said her charitable work has become a point of envy.
She stated that many critics are unable to bear the cost of such initiatives, which is why they resort to negative comments.
According to her, the success and scale of her langar (free meal distribution) has drawn unnecessary attention and criticism.
Resham also took a swipe at her critics’ credibility, questioning their individual identity and achievements.
She remarked that some people are known only because of their family members, rather than their own work, calling the situation “unfortunate.”
The actress emphasized that a good person always speaks positively, while negativity reflects poorly on the individual expressing it.
She added that people who have achieved something meaningful deserve recognition, rather than those who spread criticism.
