Gold prices have witnessed a significant and historic decline both globally and in Pakistan, according to market data.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of gold per tola in Pakistan dropped by 43,600 rupees, bringing it down to 447,762 rupees.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by a record 47,380 rupees to 383,883 rupees. So far this month, gold prices per tola have decreased by a total of 116,100 rupees.
In the international market, gold prices also declined sharply, with the price per ounce falling to 4,250 dollars after a single-day drop of 436 dollars.
The sharp decline reflects volatility in global markets, impacting local bullion rates as well.
